Common Ground
A coaching workspace that holds shared language and next steps. Every decision stays with the coach.
In development. The working demonstration further down this page runs in a browser.
Collaboration before AI
Coaching can be isolating work. Over time, a coach settles into the approaches they know best.
A coach moves between classrooms all day and carries the record in a notebook or in memory.
Common Ground keeps that work in one place. A coach writes down what happened in the room and tags it in the language the school already uses. From that record, the workspace drafts possible next steps, drawing on research-based practice. A person reviews each one before it becomes the plan.
The original record stays visible.
What the coach saw is recorded in the coach’s own words, kept separate from any interpretation of it. The note is the record. Everything else is built on top of it.
The coach decides.
A suggestion becomes the plan once a person approves it. Common Ground can surface a pattern, a question worth discussing, or a possible next step. The coach accepts, revises, holds, or rejects each one.
Your school’s language.
Common Ground works inside the framework and vocabulary your school has already chosen. Tags and drafted next steps use the terms your staff already reads.

The records are fictional and labeled as a demonstration. Nothing you type is sent anywhere or saved.
The practice comes first.
We are building Common Ground within the ECS coaching practice. If it looks useful for your school, we’d be glad to talk.
